April Favorites

Hello Everyone! I firstly want to apologize for the lack of postings lately. I have been super busy with school and everything, but it is finals week so soon I will be back to posting normal. Today I wanted to show you guys some of the things I have been loving in April. I have makeup and fashion favorites, so lets get this started!

So for my makeup favorites I have 4 different products. First I want to talk about a concealer. This is the Match Perfection concealer by Rimmel. I have it in the shade 230 Fair/Light. I freaking love this stuff. I bought it in the month of April, and I have used it every day. It has really nice coverage, and it is a really nice formula. I love it. The next thing is also by Rimmel, and it is the Scandaleyes Waterproof eyeliner in Black. This stuff is no joke. I have really been in to tight lining lately, it just makes your eyes look bigger and makes your eyelashes look fuller. The only bad thing about tight lining is it can smudge. Luckily this eyeliner is waterproof, and it really means business. This stuff will not budge! It is the bon dot com!

The next thing I wanted to talk about is my Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. I have been absolutely loving the shades Dust, which is the 2nd to the left. And the shade Buzz which is in the middle. These two shades are both rosy cool tones, and go so so so perfect together, I just can't get over it. I have been wearing these shadows on the regular. I put Dust all over my lid, and then work Buzz into the crease and outer corner. It is such a beautiful, soft, romantic look, and so perfect for spring!

Last for me beauty favorites is the Bare Essentials Buxom mascara in the shade Blackest Black. I am obsessed with this stuff. I got this one as a deluxe sample from Sephora I believe. And I am so glad I did. The brush on this stuff is absolutely incredible. It separates your lashes and applies such a beautiful coat of mascara onto your lashes. It is just amazing. You need this in your life!

Now for my fashion favorite this month. I have been really loving the Boyfriend jean look lately. So I set out to find the perfect pair. I got these from American Eagle. They are the Boy Jean Crop. The color is absolutely amazing, which it doesn't really show through in this picture (sorry).  But they are a super light jean color, they almost look white. Ugh! I just love them. They are baggy in all the right areas, and look so cute. I am obsessed!

Alright you guys! I hope you enjoyed this post. Again, I am sorry for the lack of posting lately. I will be coming out with regular posts soon I promise! I hope you all enjoyed this post, let me know what you think down in the comments. Also let me know some of your monthly favorites! Until next time,

Mothers Day Gift Ideas

Hello Everyonee! Today I wanted to do a post with some gift ideas for Mothers day. Now I know that Mothers day has already passed in the UK, but for my people in the States, it hasn't happened yet. So just like my last gift idea post, most of the things I'm going to suggest are from Etsy. Why Etsy you ask? Well, first off I just love Etsy. I love love love supporting small businesses and I also really love how personalized and unique most of the things are on there. So let's get started! Below is a picture of me and my gorgeous mommy in Rome. Just wanted to throw that in there. Happy Mothers day to all you Moms out there!

I don't know about you, but I always have a hard time finding the perfect card. The Etsy Shop Lily and Val make these amazing chalkboard art cards. They are all handmade, and so so cute! I actually bought this card for my mom,( Sorry if you're reading this mom lol!) and I am very pleased with it.

This would be a great gift for those sentimental moms. You can find these on Etsy in the shop Wise Creations. It is a floating memory locket, which you can design yourself. For $34.99 you can choose 3 different charms, and up to 6 different birth stones. They have a variety of charms to choose from, from letters, animals, and crosses. I think this is such a cute idea, and it is something that is very unique and personalized.

If your Mother loves art, this is the perfect gift. The Etsy shop aSmaOriGinal makes custom paintings for every occasion. I bought one of her paintings for my husband and I anniversary, and I was so so pleased. You send her a picture of your mom (or whoever you want to be in the picture) and your siblings, and she will draw the people. It is so customizable that you can tell her what you want down to the outfits the people will be wearing. I absolutely love her work, she is an amazing artist, and also a wonderful person to work with.

The Etsy shop Little Flower Soap Co., makes handmade bath and body products. This particular gift set includes 1 lavender soap, 1 chocolate lip balm, 1 4oz. grapefruit bath salt, 1 muscle rescue balm, and 1 skin rescue balm. Now for all of these items especially being handmade you would think would be a bit pricey. But no! It's only $25 which is such an amazing and affordable price. The shop owner has almost 900 reviews on her Etsy shop, and has 5 out of 5 stars. She is definitely doing something right, and her products must be amazing!

Happy Mothers day! I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know down in the comments below if you did, and don't hesitate to leave and questions or anything down there as well! Until next time,

XOXO

Fickle Fairy Potions Nail Polish Review

Hello Everybodyyyy! So recently I was searching the web, and I came across this awesome website. They have these amazing and unique nail polishes, and of course. I had to get me some. The website is Fickle Fairy Potions. When I ordered them there was a bit of confusion with the shipping, but we emailed back and forth and got everything sorted out. Their customer service was great. and that's always a plus! I got my nail polishes within less than a week, which is record time.

The two polishes I decided to get are "Illegally Pink" and "Quit your Clownin".  I was immediately drawn to these because they are so unique, I just had to have them.

Illegally pink is an amazing matte hot pink. On camera it is showing up a little bit coraly, but it's not. It is a true hot pink, and it is amazing! Now I know I could just go out and buy a matte top coat, but I just loved this so much I had to get it. It's pretty sheer with just one coat, but with 3 or 4 coats it looks perfect. In the picture below I used an OPI base coat, and then did about 4 coats on each nail. I love the way matte nails feel, it's like a different feeling than a shiny polish. The good thing about this polish is too is that, you can put a top coat on it and make it a normal shiny nail polish if you want to.

Quit Your Clownin is probably one of the coolest nail polishes I own. Like just look at it, ummm yes please! It is a white polish with big and little speckles of green, pink, blue, yellow, and red. I first put this on my toes, and it turned out great. Just like a lot of nail polishes that have sparkles like this one, you need a lot of coats to get that right amount of sparkles. The good thing about this polish is that even if you kind of have to "goop" it on to get it how you want it, it dries exceptionally fast.

These polishes speak for themselves. They are both amazing, good quality, and unique. What more could you ask for! Right? Make sure you check out her website, I linked it up top. She has more colors, from more matte colors, sparkle colors, and just normal nail polishes. I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Until Next time,
XOXO

My Favorite Combinations: Makeup

Hello Everybodyyy! I've been on a roll lately with posts, so today I wanted to share with you my favorite combinations. I have never really seen something like this before. But I thought to myself... "I never use just one foundation, or one mascara". So I decided to share with you products that I combine pretty much every day! These are all products that I love love love and have been using for ages. Let's get started!

First i'm going to talk about foundations. These 2 foundations are my holy grail, I always have them, and I just need these always in my life. They are also amazing on their own, but I love the flawless finish they give when I combine them. First is the Loreal True Match Lumi foundation. This foundation give a very fresh face, dewy look. Which is perfect for summer. The Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation is a full coverage and pretty heavy foundation. When you combine the two you get a full coverage dewy finish. Ummm Amazing! Love these.

Next is powder and bronzer. Both from Rimmel. I love these products. The Stay Matte powder is seriously amazing. I don't have very oily skin, so I don't necessarily need the matte finish, but it is just great for putting over your foundation and making it look extra perfect. The Natural Bronzer I use for contouring. For me finding a good non-orangey drugstore bronzer is close to impossible. When I found this I was so excited, because it is an actual bronze, not too dark or too light. It's just perfect. Love it!

So I don't think that there is any girl in this world that uses just one mascara. Especially for top and bottom lashes. For my top lashes I curl them of course, then I go in with Maybelline Falsies in waterproof. It is very important that it is waterproof because if you're like me and have straight lashes, after curling and putting on waterproof it will help your lashes stay curled. Then I go in with Smashbox Full Exposure mascara, which just gives extra volume and makes them look perfect! On my bottom lashes I use Lancome Hypnose Star. This brush is amazing. It's quite small, and it has a cone shaped brush, which I find perfect for lower lashes.

For Eyebrows I use two products from E.L.F. I do use a stencil because my brows are annoying and never do what I want them to. By using a stencil I get a perfect arched brow every time. For coloring my brows in I use E.L.F's Brow Kit. It comes with a powder and a cream. I use the powder in my actual hair part of my eyebrow (sounds weird lol), and I use the cream to define the arch and the tail. Love these products, they are the bomb.com and all of you need them!

To finish off my look I always have to put some color on my lips. This combination is my go to everyday color. I alway start off with moisturizing my lips with some lip balm, and I of course use an EOS ball. Then I go in with Revlon's Primrose. You can tell I use this quite a lot by the distorted shape of it. Oops. This shade is just amazing. It's the perfect subtle, everyday pink. I swear by it, love it, it is everything. Then of course I have to finish off with a gloss. The NYX Butter Glosses are absolutely amazing, i've talked about them before. They're just amazing.

Well I hope you liked this post! Like I said i've never really seen anything like this before, so let me know how you liked it! Also,  let me know down in the comments if you would like me to do a my favorite combinations of skincare and hair care! Thanks for reading. Until next time!

D.I.Y: How To Clean Out An Old Candle

Hello Everybodyy! I haven't done a DIY post in awhile, so I decided to do one for you today! I had a few old candles that were used up, so I wanted to show you how to clean them, and put them to some use! This is a really simple process and it pretty much always works, so lets get started!

What you will need:
An old candle
A knife (I used a butter knife)
Soap
A scrubby brush

As you can see this candle has been well loved. There is barely any wax left in it, which is perfect. Now you can do this with a candle that has more wax, but it will be harder to get it out.

Once you have your candle, pop it in the freezer. I usually leave mine in over night to make sure it is super frozen, but you can leave it in for a couple hours and it should be fine depending on how much wax is left in the candle.

Once your candle is completely frozen you want to take it out, and immediately start trying to get the wax out. If you let it sit out a little bit it will be harder to get the wax out. Using the knife (carefully!) push down on the wax until it pops up. It should come out in big chunks, but if it doesn't just keep pushing down on the knife until you reach the bottom of the candle.

Ta da! All the wax is out. You will be left with the wicks, which are usually glued to the bottom.

Once all the wax is out put your candle in the sink and pour some soap in it. Once your water is as hot as it will get fill it up, and let it soak for 15-30 min. If you have stickers on your glass that aren't coming off easily you can soak the whole candle in soapy water. It will help the glue detach from the glass.

Once you've let it sit, get your scrubby brush and start scrubbin! Letting is soak will also make it easier to get all black stuff off of the sides. Scrub your candle until it is nice and squeaky clean.

This is what your candle should look like when you're done scrubbing. You can dry it off with a towel and there you go! Sometimes I also put mine in the dishwasher, just to make sure everything is off of it. But that is optional.

Horray! It can now be used for anything you like. Because of the size and how pretty the lid was, I decided to put Q-tips in it.

Below you can see other purposes for old candles. I use them for mascaras, makeup brushes, eyeliners, whatever I can fit in them! You can also make them super cute with some bows, or stickers, whatever you like!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Let me know down in the comments if you have any tips or tricks on cleaning out old candles! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
Until next time,

XOXO

Perfect Summer Lip Colors

Hello Everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the perfect lip colors for summer and spring too, of course! I love lip stick, lip gloss, lip everything. Love it. I probably have 15 different shades of pink, corals, and oranges. I just can't get enough. Below I have swatched all of the colors for you to see, in the order you seem them in the other pictures. Let's get started!

Starting from the left I have this amazing Butter Gloss by NYX, in the shade Cherry Cheese Cake. This formula is seriously amazing. I don't have one bad thing to say about the Butter Glosses. I want them in every color. This shade is so amazing for summer. You can pair it on top of a pink lipstick to transform it into a more coral shade, or just wear it on it's own.
Next is the Sephora Rough lipstick in Miss/Madam. I know i've talked about this lipstick before so i'm not going to go super into detail about it. But the swatch speaks for itself. So pigmented, so creamy, and the perfect shade of pink. Can't go wrong with that!
The next one is from the Coulur riche collection from Loreal, in the shade Sunset Angora. This isn't as pigmented as some of the other ones. But it gives a really nice glossy look with a little bit of color. Nevertheless it is an amazing coral shade though. I really love this lipstick!

Maybelline has done it right this time. The Color Whispers are amazing! The shade I have is in Oh La Lilac. Love the name. This is a super build able lipstick. It can go quite sheer or very pigmented depending on how you want it to look. I am also obsessed with this color. I love the purple tones in it. Ugh. Can't get enough.
Another Sephora Rouge lipstick. I know, I'm obsessed. I have talked about this one before as well. It's just an amazing formula. You really can't go wrong with these. This one is in the shade Unfaithful. It reminds me of a watermelon... I don't know. That's just the first thing that comes to mind when I see the color. So cute!

Another Loreal product! This is also from the Colour Riche line, and this one is in the shade I Pink You're Cute. Again, love this name. In the tube it looks like a neon pink, but when you put it on it comes out to almost be a coraly color. This is also a pretty build able product, initially it doesn't go on super pigmented but depending on how much you put on, you will get more color.
Last but not least, is a lipstick by Milani in the shade Flamingo Pose. First things first, the smell. O.M.G. I love the smell of these lipsticks. They smell so good! Anyways, this color is quite a bold color. I like to think of it as the "red lipstick" for summer, since dark lips are usually for the colder months. Love this lipstick, super pigmented, smells great, and it's a great color.

Alright guys, these are my favorite lip colors for this summer. Let me know down in the comments some of your favorite lip colors for summer and spring! As always, if you have any questions or anything don't hesitate to ask! Until next time,

XOXO

Makeup Brushes: Must Haves

Hello Everyone! Today I wanted to share with you my must have makeup brushes. There are a lot of people who are just getting started with makeup, and don't know which brushes they will actually need. There are so many different brushes in the market, and some are quite expensive. So, here are my makeup brushes must haves!

Face Brushes:
Real Techniques Blush Brush
Real Techniques Powder Brush
Flat Top Kabuki Brush

Real Technique brushes are amazing. They are a great price, and they are pretty high quality brushes. I swear by these brushes, I honestly feel like they turn drugstore products into high end. The blush brush is perfect for blush, it goes on so smoothly and evenly, and makes the blush perfectly pigmented. The powder brush is just amazing. Its so big, so fluffy, so luxurious. Just amazing. You need it!

I'm just going to start off by saying that, if you wear foundation you need this in your life. There are tons of different brands that have flat top kabuki brushes. Sigma is a very popular brand but they're quite expensive in my opinion. I found this brush on Amazon, it came in a set with 4 or 5 different face brushes for less than $20. I loooooove this brush. It honestly puts your foundation on flawlessly, it's easy to clean it's just an amazing brush and everyone needs one!

Eye Brushes:
Blending Brush
Shany Cosmetics All Over the Lid Brush
Real Techniques Small Angled Brow Brush
Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush

I can't seem to remember what brand this brush is, but I do know it is from the drugstore, which means it's probably under $10. This blending brush is great. Everyone needs a blending brush in their life, it is essential!

This all over the lid brush is from Shany Cosmetics, I got it in a pretty large set from Amazon. These brushes are pretty cheap, in price and in quality. I wouldn't really recommend them. But just remember that this type of brush is essential.

Oh Real Techniques, you've done it again. Amazed me with the quality of your brushes. Small angled brushes are perfect for sculpting brows, making a black or dark brown shadow into a liner, top or bottom lash line. They're just great brushes to have.

This is the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. Once again, amazing and a must have. It's the perfect size for applying shadow all over the lid, and in the crease, also for highlighting the brow bone. Just amazing.

I would recommend Real Techniques brushes to everyone, if you're just starting out or if you've been doing makeup for years. One of the things I love about Real Techniques is they have really great starter kits, for face and eyes. They each come with 4 different brushes and a carrying case. If you buy these kits you will be set.

If you have any questions about makeup brushes let me know, and I will do my best to answer! Let me know if you guys would be interested in seeing a "must have" for makeup or anything else. **Just to clarify, this post was not sponsored. I have purchased all these brushes with my own money.**
Until next time,

Delicious & Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe

Hello Everybody!! Today I wanted to share another one of my all time favorite recipes. It's really hard for some people to get all of their fruits and vegetables that they need everyday. Green smoothies are a perfect way to get both fruits and vegetables! This recipe is also great because you can pretty much whatever you want. So this is my all time fave green smoothie that I drink everyday! Let's get started!

For this smoothie you will need:

1/4 Cup Frozen Strawberries
1/4 Cup Frozen Peaches
1 Whole Fresh or Frozen Banana
1 Generous Handful of Baby Spinach
1 Bottle of Actimel (this is optional, I just like to add this because it helps with my digestion)
About 1/4 Cup Water or Juice

Once you've got all your ingredients out you can put them in your blender. Now the blender that I have also comes with single serving cups, since i'm only making a smoothie for myself that's what I used. You can layer this in pretty much any way that you want. What I typically do is cut the banana into chunks and put that in the bottom. Then I put in the strawberries and the peaches, and pour the Actimel over the fruit. Then I put in the spinach, and add your water. Then blend, blend, blend.

You will be left with something like this. Amazing green goodness. The banana makes it so creamy and delicious, and you seriously cannot taste the spinach at all! So yummy, and healthy! Doesn't get much better than that. Get yourself a straw and your good to go!

Now, if you are out of some of the ingredients or don't like some of them there are a ton of options to make this. You can use mangos, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, grapes, whatever you like! I also sometimes add kale in there, but it does make it not as creamy. You can also use any type of juice, one of my favorites is orange juice. Another good alternative to just water is also coconut water.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Let me know down in the comments some of your favorite smoothie recipes! And if you do try out this recipe let me know if you liked it! Until next time,

XOXO
